摘要 | Amber provides a favourable environment for fossil preservation, especially for those delicate insects such as dragonflies. In the present study, a complete hind wing of a burmagomphid dragonfly, Kachingomphides yujiai gen. et sp. nov., was described from midCretaceous Kachin amber. Within Burmagomphidae ZHENG, NEL & WANG, 2018, Kachingomphides gen. nov is distinguished from the remaining two genera in having a larger size, three secondary antenodal crossveins between Ax1 and Ax2, five secondary antenodal crossveins after Ax2, pterostigma covering two cells, vein CuAa with four posterior branches, and six rows of cells between CuAa and posterior wing margin. |
